Sickle cell disease (SCD) presents a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations, including liver disease. Hepatopathy in SCD ranges from viral hepatitis and iron overload to cirrhosis and chronic ischemic cholangiopathy, the latter being a poorly recognized entity. We describe a case of chronic ischemic cholangiopathy secondary to SCD in an 18-year-old female patient. Biochemical liver abnormalities were documented, along with imaging showing bile duct dilation and stenosis in the absence of secondary causes.
