Abstract

The liver is currently the second most commonly transplanted organ worldwide, surpassed only by kidney transplantation. In our country, liver transplant rates are likewise increasing. Following transplantation, a variety of complications may arise, which are classified as early or late depending on the time of onset after surgery. Vascular complications such as stenosis or thrombosis of graft vessels are among the most frequently observed. Hepatic artery thrombosis is particularly concerning due to the risk it poses to the vascularization of the biliary tree and the potential loss of graft viability. In this article, we present our experience with eight patients who developed post-transplant complications, highlighting the critical role of interventional radiology in their management, primarily through minimally invasive procedures, which yielded favorable outcomes.
